I want to share a wonderful heart-warming story with you ...

Jack was a shy and withdrawn kid who barely left his room. Thanks to generous people like you, he embarked on a sail training voyage with us. And I have to tell you, we hardly recognise him now…

After returning from his voyage on the Enterprize, Jack has far more confidence in himself and is actively looking for work. His parents couldn't believe the transformation and they told us that the tall ship sailing experience truly changed his life.

But Jack is just one example of the incredible impact sail training has on young people. I'm writing to you today because I believe you have the power to help more young people like Jack, and the timing couldn't be more urgent.

For many young people, depression and unemployment are a serious risk. Some turn to crime and drugs. Please donate today because we can't afford to let this crisis continue. 

The Enterprize gives young people the skills they need to flourish by immersing them in the challenges of seafaring on board an authentic wooden tall ship. You can see from the ship's log how the trainee crew developed:

Ship's log Day 1: We learnt how to tack the boat by pulling on lines which adjusted the sails. We have a shift tonight from 6-9pm where we are on watch. - Starboard watch trainees

Will you help young people learn to communicate clearly, delegate tasks, and work together? Sail training requires them to solve problems, make decisions under pressure, take the initiative, and lead by example.

Ship’s log Day 2: We sailed through the night and kept a lookout for the lights of boats and nav marks. We spent the afternoon furling and learning navigation skills needed to sail back home. - Port watch trainees

Young people are facing increasing levels of isolation, disconnection, and mental health issues. Will you help us foster a sense of genuine connection and belonging in today's society?
